Il n'a pas changé d'un poil, ou presque, entre 1955 et 1985. Il prédit que Marty, comme son père, ne fera jamais rien de sa vie. Dans le 1985 alternatif, il défend sa maison au fusil dans une Hill Valley livrée au chaos. Son ancêtre, le marshal Strickland, maintient l'ordre en 1885.
